20 minutes to easy, fresh, in-season din-din, plus homemade pasta flour tips, sunny springtime here in northern Italy, and we're adding another member to our family!
Right! I hear you, Ellen! 😍It surprised me too. The peas are vegetably-sweet not potatoey-starchy in the pesto. I think the parboiling renders them to this perfect pesto place
I love it, Shell! And I love it even more with the fresh pasta. It’s totally worth the effort. You won’t believe me… the cute little ribboned buns are Italian smoked cheeses! Aren’t they gorgeous?!
I get semola rimacinata at Eataly and at our small Italian markets. Seems to me that if you get American semolina flour, like Bobs Red Mill etc, it’s usually very coarse and not so nice for pasta.
There is a new pup on my walks that is Eddy’s doppelgänger. Other than your Coco and now Eddy, I had never seen this Italian breed before. And now I have seen a real life version too. The new pup from our walks, is named Pavoratti.
Haha! And does the fluffy pavoratti also sing opera?! I love the name. So fun that you got to see a lagotto in person. I am just so in love with the breed. I only wish I had more hours in the day to walk and play with them. They should have about 2 hours A DAY of running/walking.
This looks DELISH, and congrats on the most adorable new family member!!!
Thank you Emma!!! ❤️ it has been an exhausting but happy week!! Xx
Love the way you right and have included seasonality into your post! Keep it up! 👍🏼
I might have thought the peas had too much starch for a pesto, but the proportion of nuts and cheese (and the color!) make this enticing!
